The American Business Registries was developed and is currently maintained by the parent company, Absolute Internet, Inc. Absolute Internet, a major player in web development and hosting since 1996, operates out of a 14,000 square foot facility in Torrance, California within the South Bay Community of Los Angeles County. Creative solutions for growing businesses have focused on web site design, hosting, on-line stores, on-line catalogs, credit card/merchant accounts, database solutions, domain registration, extranets, intranets, network installations, secure servers and more.
Why ABR Was Developed:
Our flagship web site, the South Bay Business Register maintains membership in several local Chambers of Commerce within the South Bay area of Los Angeles. The company is very active in the business community and maintains a high level of community involvement. We noticed that there was an extremely important niche market required by local business professionals. Many small businesses were simply not satisfied with the results of traditional advertising methods or simply wished to gain a foothold in web related marketing but without the expected time and cost in doing so. The American Business Registries successfully and cost effectively provides local experts with an effective alternative. Estimated Gross Income Potential:
Of all prospects contacted by the American Business Registries, approximately 10% become paid advertisers. These prospects are obtained from direct advertising mail outs, major search engines, referrals from the local chamber of commerce, phone and in-person sales activities.
To estimate potential gross profits, the following example is based on a conservative, 5% rate of sign-up per prospects contacted.
In a region of approximately 7,000 businesses, at a conservative 5% sign up rate, you would obtain 350 paid advertisers. At an average of $480.00 annual advertising fee multiplied by 350 paid advertisers, the total gross receipts would be $168,000. (350 X $480.00) From this amount deduct 8%* X gross receipts for the yearly gross site maintenance fee which equals $13,440 (8% X. $168,000). Gross Operating Profit is then $154,560 (rounded). The net income in this example will vary depending on expenditures for advertising, administrative costs, labor, office expenditures and other normal operating expenses. We estimate about 30% (or approximately $48,000 in the latter example), leaving a net profit of approximately $106,560. Achieving 350 paid advertisers could take 6 months to 3 years depending on the associate's motivation, time and skill in both aspects of sales and marketing. The American Business Registries work!
