F. A. Q.

Q: What is The Senior’s Choice®?

 A. We are a National Membership organization of independently owned businesses serving senior citizens who need in-home care and assistance with their daily living activities.

Q. Is this a franchise?

A. No. We offer many of the benefits of a first-class franchise, such as training and support; however we do not limit your territories or charge you royalties based on your gross revenues. Simply put, we offer you more choices.

Q. How much money can I make in this business?

A. The amount of money you make in this business depends mostly on you and your state of mind. It's safe to say you will get out of this business what you put into it. Your success depends on your commitment and ability to attract and retain quality clients and caregivers with our help. We can say though that with a little hard work you could be making several thousand dollars per month very quickly on a part-time basis with just a handful of caregivers and clients. And that's just a start!

Q. How much do Members charge for their services?

A. You will set your own hourly rates with our assistance using guidelines and formulas that take into account several factors including demographics, income levels, competitor's rates and comparable wages for caregivers in your area. Under the The Senior's Choice® model, our members are able to generally charge less than competitors, yet still maintain comparable profit margins. In fact, our members are able to render the service profitably in small towns where competing businesses simply cannot afford to establish businesses.

Q. Who needs in-home care?

A. People who live alone and need additional help with their daily living activities and want to stay at home rather than being institutionalized or live with relatives. In other cases, it could be people whose family caregiver needs a respite or time off from their caregiving responsibilities. Usually the elderly client pays for the service out-of-pocket. But a growing trend is the family caregivers (i.e. children) paying for the care since many baby boomers now have the financial wherewithal and place a high value on independence and peace of mind.
